As you can see from the two photos below, Dai Shaolun's farmhouse is a traditional Chinese farmhouse, and I would recommend spending the night here if you get the chance. The bedrooms are quite nice and the beds have soft mattresses. The photo on the far right shows the entrance to the very small town of Xiaoba. The van driver lives on this street, so his house is more handy, if convenience is what you are after. The characters on the top right are to show to the cab driver when you are taking a cab from Hanzhong proper to Dahekan (south of the river) to catch the Dahekan to Xiaoba bus.
